The short version
- We don't ask you to create an account.

- Your financial inputs are stored in your browser's local storage, on your device.
- We don't sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties.
What we store
The numbers you type — income, expenses, debts, savings, housing scenarios — are saved in your browser's localStorage. They never leave your device unless you choose to export a PDF or screenshot. You can wipe everything from the Settings panel inside the app.
Hosting and logs
The site is served as static files. Like any website, our hosting provider may log basic request metadata (IP address, user agent, timestamp) for abuse prevention and uptime monitoring. We don't use that data to build profiles of visitors.
Cookies and analytics
We don't set advertising cookies. If we ever add lightweight, privacy-respecting analytics, this page will be updated first.
Children
Reality Check is intended for adults making personal financial decisions. We don't knowingly collect data from children.
